Social Event: Web3D Showcase
Date: Thursday 31st March
Join us for the most entertaining evening of your life! (OK let's just say the most entertaining evening of the Web3D 2005 conference ;-) ).
Do you have a cool demo? Do you have a complete lack of pride? A complete lack of dignity... a willingness to make a fool out of yourself? Well if so, have we got an event for you!
Join us for an evening of extreme 3D demos.
The rules: just show up...have a real time 3D demo, that's not offensive (to your host) and you will get 3 or 4 whole minutes to show it off.
Remember there will be no advanced screenings or submissions, just show up with laptop or other computing device in hand and be prepared to get on stage.
During the demos your host (Sandy Ressler.. official US government lackey) will of course be making the usual snide yet witty comments to keep the audience entertained. We will also assume that during this dinner event a liberal amount of alcohol will be present.
At the end of the show there will be a voice vote on the winners in categories to be made up just in time for the show. Prizes will be delicately printed certificates suitable for hanging and whatever else we can talk folks into giving away.
We will be holding the Web3D 2005 Showcase on Thursday 31st March at a venue called Cofi Roc, located at the centre of historic Caernarfon in North Wales. This modern café bar environment has a large video screen that we will use for presenting the Web3D Showcase entries.
A buffet style meal will be provided, and coaches will take you to and from Bangor.

This will also be an opportunity for you to admire views of Caernarfon Castle, built by Edward I at the end of the thirteenth century. The castle will not be open to the public in the evening, so make sure you return here for a full visit before you depart for home.
